Student Opportunities Co-ordinator - Carmarthen (Maternity Cover)

This role is all about supporting students to have fun, and develop skills whilst doing it. The Carmarthen Student Opportunities Co-ordinator ensures that events and activities are not just safe but they are also engaging. Supporting student leaders to achieve their goals the role has a great sense of satisfaction. We're looking for someone who can empathise with these students.

The role supports students to both have fun and develop. You'll create and co-create activities for students on campus ensuring that the opportunities are safe and inclusive. Below you'll find the purpose of the role.

Previous experience working at a Students' Union is not necessary - but do tell us about any transferable skills or experience you have.

What do we need this role to do?

  1. To create, promote, and support events and activities of the Students’ Union on the Carmarthen Campus. With a focus on increasing engagement and participation in volunteering and other student activities.
  2. Lead, deliver and administer an on-going ‘Give It A Go’ programme of events and activities. Ensuring that the programme is sustainable, inclusive, and within budget.
  3. Ensuring the Students’ Union understands the experiences of students at Carmarthen so that the correct services are delivered and in a bespoke way.
