Sabbatical Trustee

Hi, I’m Taya - you may recognise me from last year; I was your Carmarthen Campus President, and this year I’m representing you as your Group President.  

I’m 23, the baby Sabb from the capital city, Cardiff. I grew up playing sports and have a big passion for it, playing netball, rugby, touch rugby and was lucky enough between the ages of 16 and 18 to represent Wales at the European Championships for Touch Rugby. Playing sports led me to my degree, choosing to stay in Wales to study Sports Therapy on the Carmarthen Campus.  

My favourite animals are Giraffes, I think it’s because I’m only 5’3 and wish I could be super tall & living in a hot country. 

I have ADHD so can relate to many of you studying here, and one of my hyper-fixations currently seems to be that I started this role last year with 12 tattoos and at this moment in time I have 38 and counting. It may be a bit of an obsession, but it keeps me happy!! 

My lucky number is 13 and I got my driving licence on Friday 13th; it appears that I beat the super unlucky day!!
