Clubs & Societies

Students tell us that being part of a club or society is one of their favourite university experiences. Whether it's a passion or interest, competitive or friendly, for fitness or fun - we have something for everyone.

Make friends and embrace your passion. Being part of a club or society is a great way to make friends with others who share similar interests and passions. Our Clubs and Societies bring students together with regular activities, training, meet-ups, and socials. There are three ways you can get involved…

Ways to get involved...

1. Join a club or society…

All our clubs and societies are student-led. This means students set up and run their groups to reflect their interests. You can check out our current clubs or societies on our groups webpage.

2. Lead a group…

Sometimes, at the end of an academic year, we have groups without students to lead them. Without getting too technical, each group has a committee and must have at least three students on the committee for it to be active. Visit our Lead a Group webpage to see groups that are waiting for leaders and how-to guidance. This is a great way to get a group set up super fast.

3. Start something new…

Finally, if you have an idea for a group and it doesn't already exist with us, then you can set one up. The process of becoming an official group is straightforward, and we have an online guide to take you through the steps. Visit our Start a Group webpage for more information.
