Jobs for Students

Jobs, internships, and paid opportunities for UWTSD students

On this page, you'll find paid opportunities at the Students' Union, the University, and with select external businesses. We want to help you find work that pays fairly and is not greater than 16 hours a week, so you have time to do the things you want, alongside your studies.

Information for Students
  • Study, live and work: We will never advertise a role that doesn't pay at least the UK Living wage or a role that is over 15 hours per week (to ensure you have time to study, live, and work)
  • Student Jobs Charter: We ask you and the external role providers to sign up to our Student Jobs Charter
  • Careers Service: Make sure to check out Abintegro, the university's online career hub. You should also make use of the brilliant University careers service.
  • Your Wellbeing: Before applying for a role, consider your well-being - don't take on too much outside of studying.
  • Are you an international student? There are sometimes regulations which mean you can't work a certain number of hours across single or multiple roles whilst studying. Check-in with the International Registry before applying for a role, they'll help you triple-check how many hours you can work
  • Our Thoughts: We also want to be clear, we don't believe that students can work their way out of the current cost of living crisis. More work is needed across the UK to support students through the ongoing situation. There is support available through the University's bursary framework.
Information for Employers

To advertise with us, please complete our student jobs form. Below are a few key points before we can list your job opportunity.

  • Pay and hours: You must pay the UK national living wage and the role must be 15 hours or less per week.
  • Student Jobs Charter: When you fill out our student jobs form, you must confirm that you accept our Student Jobs Charter.
  • Spot Checks: Within our Student Jobs Charter, we reserve the right to spot check any employer wishing to advertise with us (we would ask for copies of certain policies including corporate social responsibility, management structure, proof of rate of pay for your student employees, and registered company status).
