It’s that time of year again when the shops run out of Post-it notes and Moodle starts sneaking its way into your dreams... assessment period.
We have an adviser on our IQ and Dynevor campus’ on Wednesday 6th May 2026 for students to pop along to get some of their assessment queries answered.
If you don’t need any advice, you can swing by anyway to grab a ‘treat bag’ with feel-good stickers, sweets, herbal teas and stress toys!
To help you surf the wave of assessments, we’ve put together a snapshot of our FAQs below.
If you experience circumstances beyond your control, such as ill health or a family bereavement, during the time of your assessment, you can apply for extenuating circumstances.

Yes, you can submit before the official deadline. In fact, this is often recommended as if there are any technical issues, it gives you time to contact someone to resolve these issues! Just make sure you have completed all the classes for that module, so you don’t miss out on any vital information!
Once your results have been released, you will be able to view them on your MyTSD. Remember, results published on Moodle are only provisional marks and may be subject to change following exam board decisions. Look out for emails from Student HWB or your campus Assessment Team to find out when you can expect your official results.
Unfortunately, no. Students who submit an academic appeal purely because they feel they should have been awarded a different mark will automatically have their appeal disallowed. Look out for more information from the advice team about appeals and academic judgement in the next few weeks!
The university has lots of mental health resources available to students. The university has a wellbeing department dedicated to supporting student during their academic journey.

Depending on which course you are studying, you will be expected to use a different form of referencing.
You can review each of the four referencing styles used in courses at the university here: Referencing Handbooks | Digital Services | University of Wales Trinity Saint David
If you are still not sure, you can book an appointment with a librarian who can help you with everything from referencing, to how to avoid plagiarism, critical thinking skills and using library resources. Book an Appointment | Digital Services | University of Wales Trinity Saint David
Absolutely! Both the Students’ Union and the university recognise that even the same disability can bring unique challenges to two different people experiencing it. Whether you have recently been diagnosed, not been diagnosed yet or have been working with your disability since childhood there is support available
The university’s Support Needs Enquiry Form is the most comprehensive way to request disability support from the university.
