Check out their social media and websites to learn more about them, access useful information and get support if needed.
@SRTRC_England
Show Racism the Red Card is an anti-racism charity established in 1996. Newcastle United goalkeeper Shaka Hislop helped fund this amazing charity based on his career as a footballer and his experience with racism. The charity helps to showcase the role models to young people who present an anti-racist message to change the experiences of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic communities.
@REFCardiffVG
These charities’ vision is to see a society where all individuals have equal rights, a society with no discrimination against race or any other personal characteristics. Their main mission is to provide support, advice, leadership and an influential voice for people facing discrimination, harassment, hate crimes and disadvantage.
@Blklivesmatter
Black Lives Matter is a civil right movement first and foremost, standing for racial equality and social justice, and is not too dissimilar from previous social and civil rights movements in history. We, along with other organisations, coalitions and groups, take up the baton to dismantle and end racism.
BAME Helpline Wales is funded by the Welsh Government and delivered in partnership with some other awesome organisations such as EYST, Women Connect and Henna Foundation. This charity delivers a multilingual telephone helpline to signpost BAME individuals to the help they need.
@RunnymedeTrust
This is an organisation that research intelligence that can help to challenge inequality. By having reliable research, they are able to change policy and try to illuminate racism from society.
@SARIcharity
SARI help to support anyone who has faced hate crime, from racism to ageism. They also provide training to school to teach children and staff about racism, hate crime, cultural differences and protected characteristics, in order to help educate the next generation.
@kickitout
Kick It Out is an organisation that started by trying to take racism and discrimination out of football; since their original campaign, they now have a mission to challenge racism and discrimination, and tackle exclusion in the wider society. They hope that, through football they can help others to challenge racist attitudes and behaviours.
@BlueprintForAll
Blueprint For All was previously known as ‘The Stephen Lawrence Charitable Trust’. All the charity’s work addresses the main challenges that stop people of colour progressing in everyday life. They believe that race, ethnicity and background should never be a factor in how much or how well someone achieves. Blueprint builds careers, support communities and enriches society through their programmes and opportunities.
