Free Emergency Sanitary Products!
At TSDSU Carmarthen’s Union council in December a motion was submitted by our Women’s Officer Jasmine, to increase access to sanitary products on campus and explore options to make sanitary products cheaper or free. This motion was debated and passed by our student council.
Since this meeting we are pleased to announce that the SU is providing free sanitary products for emergency situations, on a trial basis in the Student’s Union toilets. The products chosen are from Natracare and so are plastic free, perfume free and chlorine free and therefore are a more ‘green’ product.
As well as this, our Green Officer Amy, has been encouraging the use of ‘moon cups’ which are an even more earth friendly sanitary product.
Other products available for free from the SU office include condoms, pregnancy tests and sexual health information!
