Student Trustee

Hi, I’m Galina Bleidere, and I’m excited to be a Trustee at UWTSD Students' Union. I’m passionate about health and social care because I genuinely believe in the power of helping each other and ensuring everyone has access to support. I’ve been involved in a homeless shelter program, which taught me a lot about empathy, community support, and standing up for people’s rights.

Being a Student Trustee is a priceless experience for me because it opens new doors, helps me build connections with amazing people, and allows me to grow as a leader. I also love travelling, whichhas given me a broader perspective on different cultures and experiences. As a Trustee, I’m here to make sure students' voices are heard and that the Unionstays a place where everyone feels supported.
