With Earth ever getting closer to the brink of destruction, it is vital for the future to think green. As our students of the university have the potential to be this ‘future’, I would say that it is relevant that we behave in a way to protect our planet.

I am proposing the idea of automatic lighting in communal areas of our accommodation, for the reasons of saving our planet, as well as an investment for the university.

With thousands of pounds worth of electricity being used in the university yearly, this has the potential to save money for UWTSD, maybe not in the short term, but definitley as an investment in the long term.
