We care about sustainability, and we care about students getting their daily dose of caffeine to get them through long lectures and stints in the library. This year, instead of spending money on t-shirts that ended up as oversized pyjamas, we thought we’d splash out on some Bamboo Coffee Cups. In 5 fun colours, from Yellow to Disco Salmo (Yes, it’s a thing), there's a colour for everyone.
Catch: You can only claim a cup by attending Training, so get in touch with Bea (b.fallon@uwtsd.ac.uk) if you’re unsure when training is.
Fancy a day in Carmarthen, networking with other reps from across Swansea, Carmarthen and Lampeter? Every Course Rep gets an invite where they’ll get the chance to attend workshops and talks about Higher Education, SU Policy and how to develop their skills.
Did we mention there’s free food?

Is a Degree enough? With so many volunteering and extracurricular opportunities out there, it’s no wonder that employers keep a special lookout for students who did more while at University.
It’s not just about how it looks on your CV though. It’s about the skills you develop. From learning to attend and participate in formal meetings with Heads of School, to learning student engagement skills, there is so much to learn!
How many of you switch off when you hear the word ‘feedback’ – we get it. The Students’ Union and the University are constantly asking for your feedback. Think of it like this though; it’s a good chance to fix the things you dislike about your course. Of course, it’s not just about the negatives, we all love to hear about what students love too.
While you’re here…
What do you love?
What do you want to change?
We care about students, from their academic experience, to their wellbeing. That’s why we train all of our reps with how to be an Active Bystander, which is simply how to set an example for your fellow classmates and alter problematic behaviour that could potentially develop into something more serious.
Heard about Mental Health?
We know it’s a pretty big conversation at the moment, especially among students. We like to give all of our Student Leaders training in how to refer students with mental health difficulties and how to deal with scenarios that arise.
