Academic Integrity - Is your work fit to submit?

Monday 19-10-2026 - 13:21

We hope you’re enjoying the term so far!

Last year, our Students’ Union Advice Service launched our Fit to Submit campaign focusing on how to best support you in the lead up to assessments. But it’s about more than just submitting your assignment – it's also about developing your knowledge, your confidence and your academic skills.

This year, we have launched our Academic Integrity Toolkit. Designed with students in mind both from feedback we’ve received as well as casework trends we’ve seen, this toolkit brings together practical guidance, tips and support all in one place. It explains what Academic Integrity is, how to use AI responsibly, real life scenarios, where to find support, and what your rights are if concerns are raised about your work.

Academic Misconduct isn’t always intentional. Sometimes it happens because of a misunderstanding, the pressure of a deadline or uncertainty about what is academically expected from you. That’s why we’ve developed this toolkit – to help you understand Academic Integrity and to help you make informed decisions that are right for you.

Along with this campaign, we also spoke with Jason Huxtable from UWTSD as part of our Conversations with Advice series to get an academic’s perspective on Academic Integrity and how AI has changed this conversation.

Our advisers will be out and about on campus to chat about this toolkit, and how it can help you along your journey at UWTSD.
