Our Autumn Election is your opportunity to put yourself forward for some exciting roles make sure students have their voice heard. There are plenty of roles for you to get involved with. The Autumn Election helps us to fill the vacant positions for the 2020-21 academic year.

*Compulsory for all candidates. Candidates will be sent a calendar invitation to a Teams meeting for the Candidate Briefing. The Candidate Briefing is compulsory: we will discuss the rules, timelines, and what to expect from the elections.

Part-time Officers or ‘PTOs’ are voluntary portfolio-based representatives of special interest groups and/or demographics. They work with the full-time officers to represent students. These roles attend their relevant Campus Council.
Each of the Carmarthen Campus Roles attends Carmarthen Campus Councils: Tuesday 24 November, Thursday 28 January 2021, and Thursday 22 April 2021
Each of the Lampeter Campus Roles attends Lampeter Campus Councils: Wednesday 25 November, Wednesday 27 January 2021, and Wednesday 21 April 2021
Each of the Swansea Campus Roles attend Swansea Campus Councils: Thursday 26 November, Thursday 28 January 2021, and Thursday 22 April 2021.
The Chairperson role chairs the Students’ Union Annual General Meeting and each meeting of the Union Council. The role exists to make sure that debate at the meetings is fair and balanced, and that everyone has a fair opportunity to speak and share their thoughts and ideas.

The National Union of Students Wales (NUS Wales) holds a national conference every year. This conference sets policy for the year ahead and elects the President, Vice President and other representatives. It is also where the budget for the year ahead is decided through the Annual General Meeting (AGM). UWTSD Students' Union has the opportunity to send delegates to this conference where they can voice their opinions, partake in debates, and vote in the elections and AGM.
