We want to celebrate the amazing clubs and societies we have across our campuses; they bring fun, friends and life to the university experience. Doing different activities and bringing students together over common interests, we think our clubs and societies deserve a shout-out.

So we are doing a Clubs and Societies Spotlight, where we can let you know all about a club or society, letting them introduce who they are and what they do. And who knows, you might discover a club you want to join along the way
 

Today’s Spotlight: TSD Snowsports

Who are TSD Snowsports? 

Snowsports are a club based on the Swansea and Carmarthen campuses that's all about fun and adventure. We do all types of winter activities, not just skiing and snowboarding. We also do fun things like tubing and sledging; if it sounds fun and exciting, we’ll try it.

We also do dry slope skiing and boarding for practice, which means we have the opportunity to be a part of the race/freestyle team. And going to the dry slopes throughout the academic year gets us as much practice as we can, so that we can enter competitions. 

No matter your experience you’re welcome to join, with lessons and training available to all members.

 

Who is it for? 

We’re here for people interested in sport, who fancy trying something new, meeting new people and gaining a social scene outside of lecturers. People who want something more special out of their uni experience. 

 

What do we do? 

Other than skiing, snowboarding and other winter activities, we love holding socials. Our socials are for everyone, with no expectations to drink if that isn’t something you’re interested in. We are all about being social; it’s at the centre of our club. Snowsports and socials go hand in hand. 

We also hold non snow-sport related activities as socials, such as axe throwing etc. 

We don’t just stay local either, we arrange trips abroad to Southern France at least once a year, making the most of their mountains and slopes.

Freshers Apres Night

TSD Snowsports are bringing you an Apres Freshers event at The ATTIC on Wind Street to celebrate the end of freshers! 

With live DJs, it will be a night of great music and a time to celebrate the end of freshers. An opportunity to meet fellow students and to get to know TSD Snowsports.
