This week it’s South African Bobotie.
Pronounced 'ba-boor-tea', this casserole dish is considered the National dish of South Africa. It’s a mixture of curried meat and fruit with a creamy egg custard topping. A comforting meal, full of the flavours of Africa!
Origins.
Bobotie is a recipe that was imported to South Africa from Indonesia in the seventeenth century and was adapted by the Cape Malay community.
