Shwmae Pawb!

Since starting on June 19th, things have been pretty busy, I’ll admit! Amidst the various committees, councils and meetings (all interesting, before I get I trouble!)

I was lucky enough to attend graduation ceremonies across Carmarthen and Swansea, where I delivered an address to graduates on behalf of the SU. Whilst I was a little nervous at first, the speech went well (thank you Dylan & fellow Sabbs for your help in writing it together!) and I really enjoyed meeting students from across the campuses and also the university staff who were involved throughout the ceremonies! The atmosphere across the whole university was great and there was plenty of entertainment from all parties!! Special shout outs to - Josh Sims’s family and their foam fingers, the Swansea student who took a selfie on the stage at Brangwyn and our two London students who came to the ceremonies in Swansea and performed a synchronised dab to a round of applause, a solid 9/10 effort.

On a serious note though, it was a real privilege to share the stage with some worthy Honourable Fellowes - though I notice how Charlie managed to wangle the ceremony that Chris Coleman was in - and to address you all as you celebrated years of hard work and determination. For those of you who we’re losing, we wish you all the very best and all the success in the world and know that your SU is always here to support you however we can. For those of you progressing onto further studies, we’re excited to see you again soon! Congratulations to you all, make sure you enjoy your summer - and think of us still here in September trying to survive two more weeks of Freshers!

Llongyfarchiadau a da iawn i chi!
