Hey! Do you like helping people? Are you the kind of person who thrives on uplifting and encouraging fellow students to get involved? Do you want to make an impact on student experience and be part of the Students’ Union Team? Are you keen on self-development opportunities and standing out from the crowd? Then SU Crew is for you!  

 

Okay– but what is ‘SU Crew’?

It can be difficult being a new student or returning to university after a break in studies. SU Crew are there to make a difference. SU Crew are volunteers that encourage a positive, inclusive student experience by helping new and returning students to get involved in different Students’ Union activities and events throughout the year. Some of these events include Freshers, Wellness Week, and Go Green Week. The SU Crew is there to provide a friendly and knowledgeable presence to students during events. They share their experience as well as engage with new and returning students to help them make the transition to university and feel welcome.

 

Why should I apply?

SU Crew members get:
      ✅   Loads of free training opportunities (think first aid, look after your mate, mental health first aid, etc.)
      ✅   Volunteer experience that looks great on a CV
      ✅   Accredited Certificate of Leadership from the Students’ Union
      ✅   Deeper understanding of the Students’ Union (this is especially useful if you’re interested in future SU involvement– like running for campus president)  
      ✅   A reference for your CV
      ✅    Heaps of other fun perks throughout the year (including free event entry and a suuuuper cool t-shirt!)
