The Carmarthen campus LGBT+ Society has organised a series of events throughout February to commemorate and celebrate LGBT History Month. Here’s what they have planned:

 

Encore Talent Show

30th Jan 2020 • Encore • Doors open at 8.30 pm, 9pm start.

Come and join the LGBTQ+ society at the Talent Show! This event is open to all students, and a fun way for the society to kick off LGBT History month. No matter how you identify, you will find like-minded students and allies. Join us to have a boogie, cheer on other performers or be brave and get on stage yourself!

​'Lock and Key' Night

12th Feb 2020 • Y Llofft • From 7 pm (Y Llofft open from 6 pm)

At this event half the attendees will get a key, and the other half a lock. The aim of this event is for people to go round and find their 'unlock' partner. This is not a dating event, but a chance for students to meet like-minded individuals within the university. 

 

LGBTQ+ Quiz Night

21st Feb 2020 • Y Llofft • From 7 pm (Y Llofft open from 6 pm)

Test your LGBT knowledge at our quiz night! Entry is £1pp and 50p will be going to WIRES charity to help the wildlife devastated in the Australian wildfires tragedy whilst the other 50p will go towards the LGBT Society funds. Y Llofft will be open for drinks and food too! 

 

Queer Movie Night

27th Feb 2020 • Y Llofft • From 7 pm 

This evening we will be rounding off our month celebrating LGBT History Month with a cosy film night. We will be showing 'Milk', a film about the first openly gay politician in America. Nibbles and drinks will be provided.
