Friday the 9th of November saw the resurgence of the Lampeter Classics Society. The society held its first event, a presentation night, where students presented talks to fellow society members, academic staff and even a prospective student!
On the night, our members presented a series of talks on a large variety of topics from the classical and late antique world. This month’s list of talks composed of the legitimacy of king Mithridates VI, the life of Augustine of Hippo, the battle of Gaugamela, Christian persecution and Scandinavian osteology.
We will be running a plethora of events this academic year, including quiz nights, further presentation nights and excursions to places such as Bath and the British Museum.
