We're someone you can turn to.
We all need a helping hand from time to time. Your SU is here to make sure you get the best advice; we'll help you with issues around your studies and point you in the right direction for help around housing, health and finance.
In 2019/20, we supported over 200 students with academic advice.
Supporting Your Community.
University is an opportunity to meet new people and make new friends. We're committed to providing a safe space for people to be themselves and celebrate our diversity. We also offer support for students as they set up groups, clubs and societies.

We've launched new union-wide liberation networks.
Amplifying Your Voice.
Together we’re strong. We’ll stand up for your ideas and help lead the change they want to see; we'll represent the student body to the University, and the Government with NUS Wales & NUS.
You Said, We Did: We petitioned the University to divest from Barclays.
You Said, We Did: We've banned domestic air travel for Union staff.
You Said, We Did: We successfully petitioned the University to become a living wage employer.
You Said, We Did: We've supported the 'Youth Strike 4 Climate' movement.
You Said, We Did: We've supported the 'Reclaim The Night' march.
Help you make a positive difference.
We’ll support you as you make a real difference in the community - from the big to the small. We'll help you with fundraising and share volunteering opportunities.
UWTSD Students have planted over 1000 trees in the Big Plant Project.
UWTSD Students raised over £8,500 for Cardiac Risk in the Young, in memory of fellow student Dominic Newton.
£50,000 for better mental health at UWTSD.
UWTSD Students volunteered 1267 hours in RAG Month 2018.
