Georgia Thomas, Carmarthen Campus President.
The Mr X Appeal is back! For many years, the staff and students have worked together to donate gifts to the Mr X Christmas appeal for under-privileged children all across South Wales. The Mr X Team work closely with childcare agencies across the region, and they have put together a list of children who are from families that need that little bit of extra support and some Christmas spirit this year!
This year we will be doing things a little differently due to the Coronavirus restrictions. By signing up and getting involved you will be helping a child who may have otherwise gone without this Christmas. Whereas we would usually fill our trees with tags and fill the offices with the donated gifts, this year we have a new plan; we would like your help and would love for you to spread some Christmas cheer and get involved!
Thanks, and Merry Christmas! If you would like to know more about this campaign or would like to volunteer to help out on this project, please get in touch. We hope as many of you as possible get involved, and make a child’s Christmas!
We have set up a step by step guide, so you know exactly what to do!
Sign up and fill out the form above and we'll match you with as many children as you're happy to buy a gift for. We'll let you know their name, gender and age, so you can pick out a suitable gift.
Not sure what to buy? We have some inspiration boards ready and waiting for you; check them out here!
Go shopping! Use online shopping services (such as Amazon or independent businesses on Etsy) to purchase a gift and send it directly to the address we provide. We need to receive packages by Friday 27th November so make sure to check delivery estimates and send with plenty of time to spare.
The rest is up to us! How easy is that? We'll get your gifts to Mr X volunteers who check, sort and deliver your gifts to children across South Wales.
If you still have questions, here are some of our frequently asked questions! If these don’t answer any questions you may have please email me at email@example.com or message me on my Facebook: Georgia Thomas Pres. You can also contact the union team at firstname.lastname@example.org.

Who can get involved?
The more the merrier. Staff, students’ friends and family are encouraged to sign up.
I can no longer fulfil my donation; what do I do?
No judgement here. If you cannot fulfil your donation, please let us know so we can reallocate the name.
I've signed up and haven't received an email or my email has been lost.
No problem, shoot us an email to email@example.com and we'll send you another copy.
Help, I've been matched with 0-16 year-old boy or girl, and I don't know what to buy!
Don’t worry, we’ve made gathered some gift-spiration over on our Pinterest
How much should I spend?
All donations are appreciated, so please do not spend more than you can afford. We suggest £10 - £20.
How many names can I sign up for?
As many as you like. Our goal is to provide gifts for at least 100 children this year.
I want to get involved, but cannot afford to buy a gift.
No problem at all, we understand that it’s been a hard year for all. Get involved by sharing the Mr X appeal on social media and get the word out!
