This is the year everything changes! Our Union Presidents' and Part-time Officers' roles have changed following our Annual General Meeting 2025 - meaning there are brand new roles for all students!

• 4 x Union Presidents
• 25 x Part-time Officers
• 2 x Student Trustees
• 1 x Union Chairperson

Will you become a President or Officer for 2025/26?

Nominations in the Student Elections are open now and you are eligible to nominate - meaning you could be the next Union President (and get paid to do it!) - or you could volunteer some of your time as a Part-time Officer, Trustee, or Chairperson.

Again, Nominations are open NOW! - you have until 23:59 on Friday 7 March 2025 to make your nomination. Read the Notice of Nominations for all the details and links.

Union Presidents

Full-time, Salary of £21,840 (+£3,000 London Weighting Allowance)

For years, our Union Presidents have worked in bold, dedicated (and sometimes wonderfully weird) ways to stand up for student rights and improve student life - will you continue this rich legacy?

• 1 x Group President
• 1 x Birmingham and London President
• 1 x Cardiff and Swansea President
• 1 x Carmarthen President

The Group President role is open to all students. To be a Campus President you'll need to be a student on that campus.

These are full-time, paid roles and start June 2025. You would take either a year out from your studies or take on the role immediately after completing your degree. 

Lampeter students can apply for either the Group President or the Carmarthen President role.

Student Trustee 

Open to all, Voluntary, Part-time

We're looking for two students to join our Board of Trustees and become our final decision-makers and have responsibility for our success. This is our highest level of management and governance and looks amazing on a CV.

Trustees have legal control over and are personally responsible for, an organisation. You must meet certain legal criteria to be eligible to become a trustee.

This is a voluntary role with two openings, open to all students, and starts August 2025.

The Union Chairperson provides direction during talks at our Annual General Meeting, Union Councils, and other student forums of discussion. They ensure talks are fair and balanced, so all students are heard.

Part-time Officers

Open To All, Voluntary, Part-time

Part-time Officers represent a particular community of students and areas of interest and attend our Campus Councils. These are voluntary, part-time positions - ideal for doing alongside your studies. There are five roles on each of our campuses - that's a total of twenty-five (5 in Birmingham, 5 in Cardiff... etc). Each campus has it's own unique line-up of officers. 

These are voluntary roles, open to all students, and start in August 2025.

Lampeter students can apply for Part-time Officer roles on Carmarthen campus.
