It has not only enhanced my communication and leadership skills but also given me a deeper understanding of how the university operates. If you want to make a positive impact on campus, I highly recommend applying for this role!”
- Lili, Childhood, Youth & Education (Carmarthen)
- “Being part of the SVR process was a rewarding experience, as it allowed me to help others and be a part of their growth and memories. Even though I worked alone, I loved the opportunity to support and connect with new students. It was challenging as a first-year participant, but the ability to communicate, learn about new cultures, and bring happiness to others made it all worthwhile.”
- Catalin George Marin- Computing, Health & Social Care - London.
- “Joining the student union group of SVR has been one of my impressive experiences in understanding culture of UK, ways of working at the university and engagement of students across different topics including mental health improvement. Additionally it is actively working to help students gain a better learning experience and it works as a bridge between the students and university”
- Olena Kokorieva – Business – London
- “I am very happy to be a member of SVR. In the past few months, I have participated in many meetings. I learned about the work of the university and collected some suggestions from students in the meetings. I think it is a good experience for me to see and participate in it with my own eyes, and to make campus life better. This allows me to communicate with people more boldly and express my own opinions. I hope that more students can participate in the future.”
- Yanxin Zhang – Art and Media – Swansea

-Skyler Schenke – Applied Computing – Swansea
- “Collaborating with my fellow reps has been an invaluable experience, and I truly couldn't have achieved anything without their teamwork and support.
From the outset, I felt very welcomed, which made it easy for me to engage and contribute. The environment encouraged open communication, allowing me to ask questions freely. Even when I missed a meeting, I was promptly updated to ensure I stayed informed and involved.
Moreover, the appointments were thoughtfully scheduled in advance to accommodate our attendance. In cases where I couldn’t join, there was always an option to catch up, which was incredibly beneficial.
Thank you for the opportunity to be part of such a welcoming and efficient team”
