What is a Student Trustee and what do they do?

Student Trustees help to ensure that the Union is being run in the best interests of students at UWTSD by scrutinising performance and making sure that the Union is complying with the law and being run in a financially sustainable way.

 

What does a Student Trustee do?

  • They make important decisions about the organisation and its operations.
  • They join our Board of Trustees and are listed with the Charity Commission. 
  • They attend our Trustee Meetings.

Why would you want to be a Student Trustee?

  • You’ll gain executive experience of being on a charity’s Board

Time Commitment

You’ll attend approximately 4 Board meetings and 3 sub-committee meetings.

Who can apply?

Any UWTSD student can nominate.

If you're interested in one of these roles, you'll need to apply by nominating yourself using the Nomination Form. By completing the form, you'll be in with a chance of becoming a candidate and getting elected into the role by students voting in our Election.
