Free Trip to Hay-on-Wye and Hay Castle | Give it a Go!
Looking for an adventure? Do you love books, market towns, or castles? Then this Give it a Go trip is for you! We'll be exploring the historic town of Hay-on-Wye on the northeastern edge of Brecon Beacons. Home to over 20 bookstores and two castles, you won't want to miss out on this magical place!
Pickups will be as follows:
Lampeter | 9:40am (Meet Michaella in front of Arts)
Carmarthen | 9:40am (Meet the SU Crew in front of the SU Building)
Swansea | 8:55am (Meet Andrew in front of Llys Glas)
The bus will be returning from Hay-on-Wye at 3:30pm. Book your space early to avoid disappointment as trips often sell out quickly.

COVID Safety Guidance
We ask all students to
• Wear a mask at all times, unless exempt.
• To sanitise their hands regularly (we will provide hand sanitiser).
• To maintain a 2-metre social distance.
• Not to attend our events if they should be self-isolating.
• Not to attend our events if they are experiencing COVID-19 like symptoms.
• To follow all guidance given by Union staff.
• To complete our Test and Trace Form.
What we'll be doing
• Ventilate our venues as much as possible.
• Sanitising our venues.
• Limiting the max capacity of our events.
Ticketed Events
Some events have limited spaces. If a Book Now button appears within the description you must register before you can attend. For these events please only book if you know you can make it. You can also let us know if you can’t attend so we can offer your space to someone else.
Photography & Video
Photographs and videos may be taken at our events. By booking on to our event, you grant us (UWTSD Students’ Union) full rights to use the resulting images. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let us know by getting in touch or speaking with the on-site photographer.
