This years awards

There are award categories for students, academic and non academic staff you can see details for each award below:

Part-time Officer of the Year (Lampeter & Carmarthen)

The part-time officers are full-time students who have been elected to represent you and your views to the students' union executive board. They make decisions on your behalf that shape the union as well as campaiging hard in the area of their focus. There is an award for officers on both the Lampeter & Carmarthen Campuses. 

Student Volunteer of the Year 

We have loads of students who take part in volunteering action across the university and beyond, if you know someone who has put in hours of work helping others then why not celebrate them with this award?

Students' Union Staff Member of the Year

The day to day running of your union couldn't happen without our team of staff working tirelessly behind the scenes, you may not see them much but if you think one of our team has done amazing work this year then why not get nominating them. 

Course Rep of the Year (Lampeter & Carmarthen)

Your course reps are right there at the front line, fighting your corner when the university needs to sort out part of your academic life. Making sure you're recieving the best education possible and feeding your views back to the union so that the officers can take action to the university at a higher level. What has your course rep done this year to get nominated for an award?

Lecturer of The Year (Lampeter & Carmarthen)

They are the bearers of knowledge, if there were Oscars for the best lecture room performance then this award is it. This one is for the lecturers who have you on the edge of your seat yearning to know more, the ones who inspire you to go away and google more because they've excited you so much about a topic. You may owe them your degree, so why not nominate them for an award!

Support Staff Member of The Year (Lampeter & Carmarthen) 

We know things aren't always fantastic at uni and with all the stress that exams/coursework/dissertations can create, these staff members are always there to help you back on the right track and make sure the only thing you have to worry about is your flatmates washing up!

Academic Department of the Year

This ones a biggy, we know a lot of you are passionate abour your courses and departments, it's time to get together and make sure yours comes out on top, get nominating! 

Non-Academic Department of the Year

There are so many departments in the university that exist in order to keep everything ticking and get you to where you want to be at the end of your studies and they don't even hold any lectures! Which department do you think deserves this award?

Non-Academic Staff Member of the Year

Just like the award above, this one is all about the staff who make up the real nuts and bolts of the university, have you come across a staff member that runs around the university keeping everything in check? Nominate them!

Student Staff Member of the Year

Whether they're the ones who great you with a pint after a long day of lectures or they're the people keeping you up to date through the universities social media and marketing. We think they deserve an award, if you do to then nominate someone!

Outstanding Achievement Award

Whilst all of the award winners are absolutely fantastic, this person is the one who really makes UWTSD the place it is they can be a student, academic or non academic member of staff. Who do you think has given the most to the university and it's students this year?
