Let's Get Thrifty!

Join your Cardiff and Swansea Campus President Layla for a Thrifty Tuesday around Swansea. 

In a world of fast fashion and the high cost of living, getting second hand or even new and unused items at charity stores and vintage shops seems the way to go. Take a break from the online deals and come with us to have a look around the local area for some bargains that you may not find anywhere else!

When: Tuesday 13th of October
Time: 11am meet up
Where: Dylan Thomas Centre

We will meet you at the Dylan Thomas Centre in the reception and start by exploring the Community Cupboard on site for any free items that may be useful to you. Bring your shopping bags and a list of any essentials you're on the hunt for and as a group we will all look together.

We will then head into town and look around the many charity shops and vintage stores on our doorstep. 

Get a ticket so we know you're coming; there is no cost to get a ticket, but please only get one if you intend to join us. 

Accessibility

• Most of Swansea is fairly flat although some paving slabs may be uneven, please be aware of this if you have any mobility issues. We will however try to stick to flat smooth ground where possible. 
• We will stick together in a group to walk around, but at some point Students' Union staff may have to leave. If you are worried about being on your own in a new place, we suggest bringing along a friend and ensuring you have a fully charged phone.
