Running for Lampeter Campus President

Experience 

My name is Lynda Violet Peters and I hail from the beautiful island of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. I am an international student at University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Lampeter Campus. I am running for the Lampeter Student Union President. I am in the final year of my bachelor's degree in international development and Global Politics. I am also the current Black Student Officer.

MAIN AIMS

• Offer students more representation through the reformation of the complaints process making it more accessible and efficient for all students. This includes advocacy for discrimination, review of academic results and sanctions that students may feel were unfair.
• I would be actively engaged in lobbying and soliciting for improvement and upgrades of student accommodations, facilities and resources.
• I will advocate for inclusivity, diversity and zero tolerance for discrimination.
• Advocate for more paid internships and jobs for students across all campuses.
• Advocate for more student leadership and empowerment opportunities
• Advocate for student wellbeing and the improvement of the current well-being services/support offered at UWTSD.
• I would like for Lampeter to have a swimming pool, more gym space and more bikes for students to use
