I'm not talking religious diversity or gender diversity, I am talking about racial diversity, and frankly this university's percentage split of different races in the student and staff population is frankly abismal and I haven't see a single campaign to try and be more inclusive in order to encourage applications from a more diverse range of students. Is there a diversity officer? If so what are they doing, if not, why?

I myself am black, and I feel somewhat secluded even though I have numerous friends, I moved to Swansea to attend this university and I am confident I'm the only one studying in Dynevor, and have maybe seen a total of ≈ 17 black students (less Asian) in the old Mnt. Pleasant campus, Alex Campus and Dynevor over the year and few months I've been here.

I'd like to know what's being done about this.

I'd also like to start an 'African and Caribbean Society'.

Also both the tsdsu and the UWTSD website are too complex to navigate and makes it hard to find information that should be readily available.
