the union should be careful when it makes promises to students and make sure that their organisational skills are good enough to meet expectations. And they should admit and apologise when they make a mistake.

all of us that stayed at Xmas had an email saying that the union would get in touch on social media and send an entertainment pack for us over Xmas and they never did.

I had friends in the facebook group who were never messaged about it so went without over the Xmas break. This is a bit gutting really as nobody from the Union ever explained why and the union didn't  admit to it either, it felt like it was swept under the carpet because they knew they had made a mistake.

The uni were supposed to send stuff out as well and never did - no apology or explanation for that either.

don't make promises they cant keep, especially to people who stay over Xmas and might be more at risk or vulnerable. Not that bothered about it now because Xmas is over but at the time it was confusing and a let down, don't know why it happened but the union could have explained themselves to everyone in an email or social media group so we weren't left hanging.

There's a picture of a bit of the email as proof. I don't know whether the union will blame the uni or whatever but there's an issue with communication.
