Where? The Environment Centre, Pier Street Swansea SA1 1RY (This is between Morgans Hotel and the Old Evening Post building, just around the corner from the Dylan Thomas Centre)
Join us as we team up with the Environment Centre Swansea for a local litter pick!
The Environment Society has a wonderful history here at Swansea, led by passionate students who cared deeply about our planet. Now, we’re looking to revive the society — and what better way to start than by giving back to the community? 💚
Whether you’d like to take the lead in restarting the group, want to explore the local area, or simply care about making a positive environmental impact, this is the perfect opportunity to get involved.
Enjoy a refreshing morning outdoors, meet some great people, and wrap up the session with a cuppa and a snack — you’ll have earned it!
Accessibility
- This event will be held outdoors, and you will need to dress for the weather.
- The litter picks are usually focussed on the Marina and surrounding areas, the paths here are usually flat but there may be some uneven ground too and potential to go around the beach area where sand could be an issue for access.
- You will be expected to be on foot for the time scedhuled so ensuring you are aware of this and comfortable being on your feet for prolonged period is important.
Important Information
- Please wear sensible shoes, clothing and bring gloves if you have them.
- We will leave the Environment centre promptly at 10am, so please do not be late.
