Description

Welcome to the Book and Narrative Society!

Join our new and exciting club! The Book and Narrative Society!

Where, instead of all of us reading the same book, you (yes, you!) can choose whatever you like to read, as long as it fits within our chosen theme for each month!

The themes can be anything and everything, from romance to politics (a dire combination), as long as your choice relates to the theme.
At the Book and Narrative Society, we encourage you to express your views, opinions, and suggestions!

Every two weeks, we will meet at the University Library Confucius Reading Room at 6:00pm, with complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits (of course, let us know of any allergies/preferences in advance!). The first week will be dedicated to introducing the new theme, giving you free rein to read whatever you like. In the second session, we will delve into the narrative spectrum! We'll watch films, react to authors/stories, and discuss them. Listening to podcasts. And maybe... possibly! A trip or two. You'll just have to find out! On the third session, we will talk about your chosen read and discuss why you chose it and how did it fit the theme?
