Feeling accepted and safe on campus makes all the difference to your student experience – that’s why we’re thrilled to announce the relaunch of our LGBTQ+ Safe Space stickers. These stickers are colourful signifiers that our campuses welcome members of the LGBTQ+ community
This campaign was originally thought up and launched by Anna Holland during their time as LGBTQ+ Part Time Officer (2021/22). By creating these stickers and giving them away for free, Anna wanted to show that UWTSD campuses are a warm and accepting place for members of the LGBTQ+ community.
But what is a safe space? It can be anything from a physical room to the company of others – it’s somewhere you feel free to be yourself without fear or judgment.
These stickers are a colourful way to show LGBTQ+ acceptance; a reminder that our campuses are inclusive spaces, where every student has the right to be - and feel – accepted and safe.
From 21 February, you can get your very own LGBTQ+ Safe Space sticker from your Students’ Union office or by visiting one of our Union Pop-ups.
