Compulsory stand/ table providing free water and free cookies that are available in visible sight (not needing to be asked at the bar) and/or Ambassadors/ volunteers / helpers doing the task and at every SU hosted party
The concept of the Responsible Party doesn’t require anyone to organise specialist parties, it is about making all parties responsible and promoting a more healthy and considerate approach towards alcohol consumption. The main role of SU at a Responsible Party will be visibility.
This campaign is a collaboration between Pernod Ricard and Erasmus Student Network since 2010 to promote partying responsibly and not ending up drunk and sick even before the start of the night.
The evaluation found that 88.8% of students surveyed said they found the initiative useful, while 61% of students confirmed they had changed their alcohol consumption habits as a result of the scheme.

Aims
Alcohol abuse, especially binge drinking, has adverse effects on the development of cognitive capacities as well as a myriad of other negative health effects. Considering that the human brain does not stop developing until the age of 25 this suggests extra risk when alcohol is abused by young people
